Kitten In Action

Little Artanis warmed up to us pretty quickly, but as all kittens are, he was quite a pain sometimes (literally and figuratively). He was pretty much attacking things any time he wasn't sleeping. Wouldn't let us hold him for more than a few seconds without squirming. But holy crap was he just the cutest little puffball. Here are some videos taken around the same time:

His name is Artanis.

Being avid Starcraft players at this time, we were thinking of naming him after one of the Protoss characters from the campaign since the names sounded pretty cool. There were some interesting options: Aldaris, Tassadar, Raszagal, Zeratul, Fenix... but the one that seemed the best to me was Artanis, the High Templar. It also had a nice nickname, Arty. 

Those large white paws, small muzzle, soft long fur and big round eyes... could he get any cuter? He was only in this place for about a week or so, but he liked it.

He was also a heat-seeking typical snuggly kitten. It always made my heart melt a little when he lied down on my lap.

Beginning of kitteh-hood.

So, one day, Tony and I were at PetSmart in Latham buying something for our hamster. I asked him if we could look at the cat adoption center and he said yes, so we went over to the other side of the store. When I got there I spotted a cage with 3 kittens in it. I instantly got the urge to take them out and hold them. It was love at first sight.

If I remember correctly I didn't even have to ask Tony- we both wanted a kitten as soon as we saw them and had talked about adopting one earlier. It took us a long time to decide which kitten we wanted, but we finally chose "Chester" because of his incredibly adorable face and his beautiful fur. We figured, all kittens are pretty malleable as far as personality goes and he'll calm down eventually. Heh.. heh...


The picture above was taken when we first brought him home. He sat in the kennel for a while before he got curious enough to wander around the bathroom.

Introduction

Welcome to mah kitteh blog!

So, let's start with some introductions. These are my cats. From left to right, they are Totoro, Tuners, and Arty. Totoro and Tuners are about 9 months old. Arty is approaching 2 years. They are all boys. 


This blog will be mostly about these cats, and any future cats I have. I might post some random cat things that have no relation to these guys. Each new post will have a picture and some info relating to it. 


Yes, I am obsessed with cats and will probably become a crazy cat lady. Deal with it.
